Passords: a form of secret authentication

According to the new security norms, every associate of the company should be trained on the new security rules. As a part of this all the associates were given tips about forming passwords.

Characteristics of a good Passwords:
1) Easy to remember
2) A mix of alphabets(lower & uppercase), number & signs
3) Not related to you or your belongings
4) Changed every 15 days

Here goes an example of a good password:

J&jWut++ ( Jack and Jill went up the hill )

Everyday I use a minimum of 10 passwords and all of them expire every month. How the hell will I come up with 10 passwords every month and how the heck would I remember them?

There cant be a single password for all of them. If cracked...we are totally exposed. We cant have finger print recognition or retina scan as they would cost too much.

Is there any simple solution? No Idea!!!

Change Request: Changing an already developed code!

Imagine getting a change request after your resignation. That tooo modifying a code developed by another person for 60hrs. And now I should do it within 4 hours :). I would simply call it torture by my lead.

Rumors:

A week before I was planning to resign, a guy from my team approached me.

'What training institute do you suggest me for IIM coaching?' he asked.
I was like 'AAAA...HMMM...No Idea!, but why do you ask me?' I replied.

2 days later one of my lead was inquiring about MBA programs @IIM's.

What the f? Actually I was planning for a Masters in US. Masters changed to MBA and US to IIM. Cool... I never thought ppl would think I was that talented!!! atleast not in my team.

44hrs a week:

Our US counterpart has commited to its clients to complete thier upgrade work before october. So they want their so called 'indian part of the team' to work a min of 44 hours per week from Jul to Oct. Any hours above that 44 figure will be considered as overtime. (No idea why that 4 hours is not considered for overtime!)

My manager called in for a quick short meeting today morning. He wants an approval from all the team memebers before he commits to the US part, that we would work for a minimum of 44 hours a week. "So ..from Jan to Jun is it going to be 36hrs a week??" I joked.

Man!!! what kind of a crap is this? Working overtime for this lousy upgrage work! I feel its gonna be totally de-motivating for the team members.
Resignation: I have submitted my formal letter of resignation today. precise & to the point :P. Copied the first letter I found on google search with word 'resignation' :)

Here it goes:

Subject: Resignation

....,

As a part of my career plans, I have decided to pursue Masters in US. So Please accept this letter as my formal notice of resignation, effective 06/14/2006. The associations I've made during my employment here will truly be memorable for years to come.

Regards,
....

Ooops...I did notice one thing after I sent the mail. The american way of representing the date. Even though I work in the India counter part of an American Company, We use the american format in every damn mail & document. I had trouble everytime I wrote a cheque to somebody in these 2 years.

For sometime after my mail...I kept pondering about one thing... My exprience here was memorable for sure..but in what way? Did I really enjoy the last year here? I had to push my self very hard to work even an hour.
A little more than 2 years....

Thats my total work experience!!! I hope this blog would help me to put forward all my experiences during this time.
